About The Barclays The Barclays is the first event in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, with 125 players vying to make it to the next event. The Barclays has this year moved to the recently completed Liberty National. The course offers majestic views of the Hudson River, Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Liberty National's 7,400-yard course is the vision of former Reebok CEO Paul Fireman, and was designed by Tom Kite in consultation with course architect Bob Cupp. The Barclays will be one of the PGA TOUR's most eagerly awaited top tournaments in 2009, expected to attract 125 of the world's champion golfers, plus a sell-out spectator attendance over the six-day event.
